The Moments I Need To Let Pass

My resting points Seem at a slant I can't cling on No peace to grant The weight of heart Holds me in place I'm going nowhere Fast, at pace Nothing to hold I'll surely slide Feel unhappy But sit dry eyed I can't compute Next step to take Comfort lost Spend night awake Berate myself Why choose alone Not path for me Already shown I'm lost at sea Send out SOS It's hard to be So in distress

I was at that place at one time and stumbled upon a program by mel Robbins. She said for five days walk to your bathroom mirror ,look at yourself smile and give yourself a high five.It sounds simple I know but the mind associates a high five with a celebratory mood.We cannot be in a bad mood and a good place at the same time.I did as directed and could tell it was helping.Got to looking forward to the next opportunity to celebrate life and me.Hope it does the same for you.Be gentle with yourself

Why did you put SOS in your poem? Singing the song now. Actually, people are jumping overboard. That's weird.

Well I never knew you were an ABBA fan and wasn't aware that an imaginary boat load of people would be needing saving by you Paul. I obviously feel terrible about these consequences. Here's an extra verse. There's life boats, enough for all, you can rely on me, but not on Paul... There you go - everyone is saved! :D (lucky my moods pass quickly, we all drown otherwise haha)
