The Missing Piece

The Missing Piece A memory that’s elusive On the corners of my mind I reach, but cannot touch it I seek, but cannot find. Is it coming from the future? Or somewhere in the past I know I want to hold it But the vision doesn’t last. For a swiftly fleeting moment A calmness reigns supreme Then it slips into the ether Like an echo of a dream. I hope someday to capture it And hold it in my soul For I think it is the missing piece I need to make me whole.

We're all looking for that thing to make us whole, aren't we? I hope you capture it soon. Great rhyme.
