The Mirror
IN THE MIRROR
Was looking in the mirror
to my surprise I saw
no longer slim and trim girl
the one I knew before.
I saw a different lady
with black and silver hair
a tire 'round her belly
much creases here and there.
Her boobs no longer erect
had both seen better days
now hanging on her tummy
"Oh my! those can't be Jay's.
Now where did that navel go?
It's disappeared for sure
I know she had a lap once
that's also out the door.
No twenty-two inch waistline
no legs to catch the eyes,
But there stands a Great-Grand-ma
My Goodness, how time flies.
AFTER THE MIRROR
I'm wearing my support hose
to make my legs look slim
my girdle and my corset
to tuck my tummy in.
I had to hold my breath in
so I could get them on
and I'd better not exhale
or the snaps would be gone.
The boobs no longer hung low
they're looking up so far
Thank God someone invented
the under wire bra.
My lovely golden brown wig
hide my salt and pepper
a little bit of make-up
makes me feel like a star.
No longer old Great-grand-ma
I've got a date you see
with a young handsome fella
who's half the age as me.
He thinks he's hit the jackpot
he don't know what's beneath
he'll have a rude awakening
when I take out my teeth.
