The Melody of Death
THE MELODY OF DEATH
Should I play a melody that pulls on your heart strings
Then stand back and watch the emotions that it brings
An inner fault becomes a crevice, this crevice a canyon
Your inner heart is broken so abused then abandoned
I watch as you fall, witness as you uncontrollably weep
Shocked as at your depth of emotion that ran so deep
Every lyric cuts into you, as the music haunts your soul
If ever there was a hope within you it’s lost its sad goal
I stand ashamed at the realisation of what I have done
On doing this to you, is like pulling the trigger of a gun
The melody ends, as you breathe your final last breath
The sadness you released is now gone with your death
In the distance another melody plays; another one falls
This is how it has to be, when the melody of death calls
"Mercy Killing"
