The Mask

You ask, Why should you wear the mask?
Why have on shirt and shoes?
They violate your freedoms
So piss and moan and sing the blues
The world is all about you
Learned it well, from Washington
You're more important than the others
Personal freedom's too much fun
The mask is too confining
You would rather catch the vid
Pass it to your ailing parents
Maybe even to your kid
If you think corona virus
Will never ever come your way
Violate the space of others
They may even make your day
Maybe they will cough or sneeze
In your face without a mask
If they, as you, aren't wearing one
You don't even have to ask
Rub your hands on every surface
Touch your mouth and rub your eyes
You may even learn a lesson
From the leaders you despise
Don't wash your hands or wear a mask
Don't distance, sneeze and drool
Blame others if you catch it
When, in truth, you were the fool.
