The Man In the Window
There's a man in the window
looking in.
If he dreams long enough,
what does he win?
As he looks in upon my dream,
which is nonexistent,
the world is rustling
with peace that's not sent.
We keep it to ourselves,
not sharing,
not caring.
While others are silent
let us say loud and clear,
"Let peace resound
for all to hear!"
The man in the window
is feeble and cold.
Why is he covered in blood,
not new, not old?
He is the man
who plays with the mind.
He seems to be friendly,
and comes off as kind.
The man is the world,
and how it's bound to be,
if we don't work for peace,
and don't want to see.
So, in his wake,
let's give us peace
for all to take.
Let us send a message of peace for all
in hopes to set people free.
