The Mad Dash
THE MAD DASH
At last, I've made the mad dash and my cardboards are full of tins
Kidney beans, chickpeas and butter beans, who grabbed first wins
With nothing else in, I am beginning to wonder on what I can cook
On the next run I might find some rice and tomatoes with any luck
6.33 am train out, & the last train just 9.05 am, to get home again
As they have canceled most of the trains, only 3 of us on it, insane
I donned my latex gloves, ski mask with near all thinking I was daft
But, when you all drop dead, it might be me that has the last laugh
