The Lovely Rose

A single rosebud was left all alone in a desolate garden. Surrounded by weeds and debris. It was neglected by a selfish gardener. It survived its harsh conditions and is the loveliest all around. Alexis Y. 6-15-2021

It deserves to have survived dear Alexis - they are in fact very hardy flowers and love cold weather, Wonderfully penned. Hugs and blessings, Jennifer.

I believe roses can thrive very well on their own, give them a little water and even the ones that look wilted will revive. thanks for the sharing. :)

The fortitude to rise from neglect and despair is itself a beautiful thing, as is your poem!

Very lovely Alexis, she had to be strong to survive such a neglected garden, but the weeds couldn't dissuade the beauty that was in her. I imagine a queenly yet humble rose that draws even more attention to her beauty because of the harsh conditions that surround her <3

Hello Alexis Y., A rose all alone, won't do. If I saw a lonely rose I would pick it up and put it into a vase. Then i would press it inot a book to keep forever. Hugs

Hi dear Alexis, you penned a superb poem, the approach used in this is fascinating to me. May more roses bloom as a result of the neglect of a sluggish gardener. Blessings and warm hugs, I'm back from a short vacation.
