The Lord Is Good In Day of Trouble - Nahim 1: 6-11
Who is there in all the world?
that can stand before God alone
His wrath breaks open many rocks
for He's the king on His throne
There is no one as good as God
no matter the troubles of the day
God knows all that trust Him
for He's their refuge to stay
Swept away by God's flood
overflowing all over your head
touting out all my adversities
filled into the dark, long before bed
Is there a plot to ignore God?
surely the Lord has a better plan
for He will fulfill His promise end
all because of His life span
Entangled thorns seem so jaggy
seems like drunkards full of drink
one came against the Lord
counsel worthless makes one sink
(Nahum 1: 6-11) (ESV)
6 Who can stand before his indignation?
Who can endure the heat of his anger?
His wrath is poured out like fire,
and the rocks are broken into pieces by him.
7 The Lord is good,
a stronghold in the day of trouble;
he knows those who take refuge in him.
8 But with an overflowing flood
he will make a complete end of the adversaries,[a]
and will pursue his enemies into darkness.
9 What do you plot against the Lord?
He will make a complete end;
trouble will not rise up a second time.
10 For they are like entangled thorns,
like drunkards as they drink;
they are consumed like stubble fully dried.
11 From you came one
who plotted evil against the Lord,
a worthless counselor.
