The Longest Day
Today, they say’s, the longest day
So stop to sniff the flowers,
But what I need is not more daylight –
I’d prefer more hours.
I always have much more to do
Than time in which to do it;
With just another hour or two,
I’m sure I’d zip right through it.
Yet still, it’s nice to have more time
To soak up all that sun;
By tomorrow, in a teensy way,
The shortening’s begun.
