The Lonely Beach

Looking out beyond the dunes, to the sea. The lonely beach beckoned me. I walked the path, I always took. Past the dunes to the beach, to take a look. Seeing the waves come in to touch land. And beyond, to the wide expanse of sand. I saw that the beach, between dunes and ocean, Was completely empty, nothing at all in motion. I looked in both directions, and did not see, no other signs of life, it was just me. I took it all in, hearing only nature's voice. I then wondered, that if I had a choice. Would I give up the peace of this day, to see the lonely beach, happily at play?

The sea beckons to what is soft within us, and at times, shows us the path we should take.
