The Loneliness
What is this loneliness that we all
feel? It's with us all the time, and
it seems to be beyond what's real.
Why do we feel alone when there's
nobody around? Why does it feel
lonely when you hear no sound?
This loneliness is quite unique; it
stays with us whether we're strong
or weak. Even when there are other
people around, the loneliness seems
to come up and tear us down.
We try to get rid of it by having more
friends, but it stays around even then.
It never seems to go away; our bodies
seem to be where it wants to stay. Why
doesn't it let us go? It's like a dog and
pony show.
You get married and have a husband
or wife; you think that is the end of the
lonely life, but lo and behold, it's still true;
loneliness is still there, now shared by two.
I think I know where it comes from. I will
say this once, and then I'm done. I think it
came from, God and motherhood, because
we haven't lived, on earth the way we should.
Which means, not creating a world of love, and
brotherhood. Jesus said love your neighbor, as
you love yourself; somehow that lesson has
been put on a shelf.
The loneliness comes from us not loving each
other as a human family. That is what has created
this history. Not loving each other as sisters and
brothers , not caring for each other. it has made us
feel alone. It always feels that we are on our own.
We are plagued by the fact that we don't love ourselves
or each other, and the loneliness we feel comes
from not, living in a world as one together.
So there you have it, once again: individual love
is not your friend; it's the love of all, that we must
learn to share. That will remove this loneliness
everywhere. Until that day has finally come loneliness
will stay, as long as the life of the sun. And as long
as we refuse to move in that direction, the love of
life for us will have no love connection.
