The Little Snow

The little snow that fell today Has slowly melted all away. It kind of came as a surprise, Like raindrops hiding in disguise. The morning was bedecked in white. Our early walk was a delight, But now, at dusk, it's all turned gray; Tomorrow will be come-what-may. The weather's fickle, I suppose, So as the month draws to a close, Let's hope both minds and roads are clear As we clock out this current year.

My love of snow turned to dread when I began to drive! My poem about goldenrods is based on a true experience when I lived in Misquamicut, RI. I used to walk the beach often, in all weathers. I've written several on this theme. Thanks for enjoying it. / M
