The Lion and the Serpent
the lion and the serpent they stay under our feet
on sweaty sin stages, dusty back roads, and dirty ghetto streets
lion's always on the prowl seeking whom they may devour
just like wicked weeds entangled in bloody barbwire
the war drum's bangin out the battle beats as they ruthlessly hunt for the weak...
the lion and the serpent they stay under our feet
the serpents lyrical lies they sound sweeter than honey
empty promises all about fast cars, clothes, woman and mountains of money
promising heaven and delivering hell those dollars and diamonds turn to satanic spells
bit and devoured they die in deceit...
still the lion and the serpent they stay under our feet
the lion and the serpent we trample even when the wicked world comes gruesome and gory
and still loves to gamble
fools put their lives and souls on that thin line just one more time they roll the dice and spin
the wheel, living a lie and forgetting what's real
through the fire and the flames
through arrows of anger and pitchforks of pain
drowning in acid rain or scorched in nuclear heat...
we march with the truth while destroying the beast
the lion and the serpent they stay under our feet
