The Leaf
Do not mourn the leaf
nor seasons
mourn not starry night
everything sleeps
yet retains glitters of light
as it came to rest
on the forest floor,
speckled and brown
retains mulch appeal
near death, yet a fertile feel
Spring will bless
Winter will rightly regress --
