The Laws of the Christian Life - 1 Peter 5: 6-11
Make every effort to be truly humble
allowing yourself being under God's mighty hand
for you can be confident of this very thing
that God will exalt you being able to stand
We are all filled with many anxieties
but God says give them unto me
for the Lord truly cares for His own
so we should always on our knee
Beware of our arch-enemy Satan
for he prowls around to catch us out
keep your mind sober and watching
on the lookout to hear the lions shout
Call your faith into full action
stand tall, keep firm, always resisting
knowing our fellow believers all over
suffer like us believing persisting
The time will come when suffering ends
God's grace in Christ will then appear
restoring you with strength to conquer
establishing in your faith without fear
Give glory to our great God
for His is the dominion forever
this is Peter the apostle's exhortation
given for us yes Jesus will deliver
('Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world. And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you. To him be the dominion forever and ever. Amen.')
