The last time

When was the last time
your hand held mine
'neath a sleepy night?

When was the last time
you tell the moon to smile
whilst our eyes entwined?

You whisper, "I love you"
Yet today might be the last, too ~
So, stay a little longer.

A longing so pristine, that the heart wants just a moment more! Loved the expression! Kudos JC!

I too, but glad you did, Unica Hija, sounds so poetic. The longing of love is always there. Blessings

Dear Jez, you are causing confusion by changing your names. I didn't know it was you. Only by looking at your poems, l could make out. This is a lovely little poem, so romantic.
