The last leaves of fall rained down today
Blown by the wind as the sun did play
With shadows that moved on the street
Where my steps maneuvered, pictures did meet
On pavement, while created in my mind
With words only the fresh air can find
In the rain of leaves nature did make
Wisdom fell in the air, I graciously take
Give me endurance to go up this hill
Help me to do my best with my own will
Amidst sunshine and shadows beneath my feet
Let there be growth and acceptance of defeat
