The Last Bastion

Brave are those battling the tempest, Undaunted by overwhelming odds. Amidst the fray seems so surreal, Just a flight of fancy to the Gods. Silent and stoic in the arena, Clad with unflinching resolve. Nobody will deter the outcome, Regardless whom it may involve. The last bastion of defense, To withstand the savage horde. What price to recompense, Just a tax none can afford. Cast beneath a bloody banner, A somber salute as it waves. The multitude that came before, Forever resting in shallow graves.
