The Kiss of June's Moon

And as the shades of flannel fade away I sit beneath a bulbous smiling moon Whose shadows bid a gentle breeze at play To kiss the petaled face of sleeping bloom And cause the waking rose to blush all day. ©5/5/2022 The Moon In June Poetry Contest Quintain (Sicilian)
