The Kid Inside of Me
No matter how I look outside
There is a little kid inside
Who wants to jump in puddles here
Splash whoever dares come near
I'd like to climb the monkey bars
And reach up and touch the stars
I like to play hopscotch still
When young I had the skill
Double dutch a favorite of mine
But now I get my feet entwined
Oh, even hide and seek will do
I just take longer finding you
King of the hill I do not play
Although I did in my heyday
When I see a merry go round
Then the child in me is found
And this child inside of me
Holds on to every memory
