The Key To the Survival of Any Democracy
The key to the survival of Democracy,
Is still the same,
Eternal Vigilance,
Eternal Vigilance,
Eternal Vigilance.
The value of the dollar may go up,
The value of the dollar may go down,
But Democracy will only Fall,
When we fail to understand,
That dark forces exist,
To test our moral fibre,
And our willingness to stay
Eternally vigilant.
That is why,
Democracy demands of us,
There always be someone on watch,
Every minute of every day,
To look for signs,
Of any weakness in the defences,
For chaos to exploit,
And bring Democracy to its knees.
When that happens,
It takes more than words,
To survive the onslaught.
Anything less than being prepared,
For the ultimate sacrifice,
Will not prevent the bleeding out,
Of democracy in front of our eyes.
