The Key
I know I don't show it the way that I should.
The effort I make ? I could if I would !
So many things to fill my day,
"I'll do it later if that's ok?"
There's so many errands and jobs to do,
"Is it enough to say I love you?"
Time's running out I must confess.
I've got something I must address.
So many years you cared for me.
Sometimes I forget the "Gift of the Key".
You gave me the key to love and compassion,
You explained to me how life was fashioned.
You stood by me through thick and thin.
You always told me I could win.
I am very fortunate to have you in my life.
You could have been one who create strife.
So thankyou so much for giving me
The directions to use "My Life Key".
I've opened some doors I wish I had not.
I've cried and I've hurt and wished I'd forgot.
But I have entered some rooms that lit up my life,
That took away anger and tiring strife.
It all comes down to the Key that you gave,
It can open doors to castles or caves.
