The Jagged Edge of Time
a red sunset lights the sky
as if over Dante's damned inferno
fierce fiery colours lashing out
across the horizon's jagged ridge
the fangs, they gnarl and menace
they growl at another day
that sadly brings about
more shame than good
but the determined live
to fight another day
