Written for eleven beautiful lines contest sponsored by Constance La France

"The sea, once it casts its spell, holds one in its net of wonder forever." ~ Jacques-Yves Cousteau When Cupid’s wishes surf on the tail of a comet, eventide envelops the tender skyline in stillness, mirroring sparks of neon stardust on the shore. Stroking the salt-laced sand in silken rhythm, while hushed leaves surrender to the sea’s songs, curating a silent reverie of drifting dreamers, filling the amethyst air with indigo blooms, as wind and waves merge, echoing secrets~ like heartbeats aching for a kiss of moonbeams, amidst fluorescent tides twinkling in tune, erasing tears in the blush of forgotten sunsets.

Dear Empress, Ok, this swirls like a tide under Cousteau’s spell with comet tails kissing neon stardust, waves of secrets only the moon deciphers. I can really see the indigo blooms in salt-laced air, the ache of sunsets dissolving into tides that remember everything. Your words are the net, capturing wonder too vast for any contest. The sea’s song? It’s already in your veins. A Fav! Spring Blessings, My Dear Friend, Daniel

Dear Ink, You wrote an excellent poem exploring the themes of love, desire, and the beauty of nature. It displays an ethereal picture in which cosmic forces mix with human emotions, implying that love is inextricably linked with the universe. The poem also depicts a beautiful location by the sea at twilight, with natural elements such as the water, sky, and stars providing a backdrop for sentiments of desire and closeness. I adore your diction; it is lush and evocative, full of sensory nuances and images that make an immersive experience. The words "Cupid," "comet," "neon stardust," "amethyst air," and "indigo blossoms" elicit sentiments of passion and awe.
