The Hourglass Wears Wings
In shadow 'neath the shining of a soul
a heart trembles
for her lost
control.
Hope
lives
in Him
who forgives
trespass and sin
as flight with Mercy’s angel does begin.

Poet’s note: The hourglass, sometimes with the addition of metaphorical wings, is often depicted as a symbol that human existence is fleeting
