The Holocaust

The Holocaust Do people really believe it can't happen again? As a writer from Israel said," It never ended, it just continues, at a slow burn. " I know, I know! You want to hear about flowers, butterflies and bees. Sorry, its wake up time! Besides the Jews, Christians are being burned alive, too But we prefer to walk in the dark, Being mystical, speaking of stars. We are on a poetic vacation from life. We live in an imaginary world of no strife. Our lack of respect for all humanity, Shows up here in big bright lights! Our fear of commenting to a poem like this, Fills us with emotional strife. We cannot trust the press, I trust a Poet's heart far more. We can open the door to things non- arborial, And perhaps approach real life in a more realistic tutorial. Gershon, my heart goes out to you. I don't know if I lost relatives there. Those monsters went into all countries. Killers of Jews still around...you know where they are. I never will comprehend Jews being killed at a Shabbos meal. Or Kahanes son and Daughter in law shot dead in front of their children. Nor baby Paz, being shot in a stroller. And now, two or more openly Jew hating Congress women. Heaven help us! Panagiota

Your poem reminded me so much of one of my favorite films KISS OF THE SPIDERWOMAN starring William Hurt and Raul Julia. A harrowing message. Well done.

Welcomed visit,Line! I adored Raul Julua and like William Hurt. I see that movie was 1985 but I have 2 channels that feature older movies. Hope to see it. RIP, Raul Julua. Hurt was taken captive in Brazil, during filming but unharmed. He got best actor award but shared his glory with Raul! Awesome. I see the poem hit home! Love, Panagiota

Arturo, as a poet at times, I am wary of turning on the lights. But we can be a powerful force, if we choose. I like the romantic/ mystical side of poetry as well. And the humorous. This was one to shed light, most assuredly! Love, Panagiota

I would understand it a bit better if there were ten Gods. But, there is only one. I would like to see in any book.of prayer that says kill anyone that does not share your beliefs. The world has become a twisted evil place to be, with murder, corruption and greed rife in every country. Tom.

Dear Tom, Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I am more than sorrowful the way things are going. But if you know the Bible, Satan has to come back first and all his minions, before Christ returns to Mount Olivet. So, as you can see in movies, music, politics and more, Satan has a foothold. People forgot why the Ark was built. They relish living in sin. Yes, God is one. Panagiota..be of Good Cheer!
