Around trust sealing our contract
for blessings to share generously ---
--- heart of mine was settled
having never languished in doubt's qualm
upon steadfast prayer brace
tied by ministerial engagements.
With earnest faith
my anticipation yearned
for return of investment flow ---
--- until I learned that such agreement
was gripped with deceit
and I ought to be freed from its depressing cord.
Oh, I was fooled by someone
my soul regarded as a sister ---
---grievously afflicting me
against virtuous fortitude
propping my integrity
challenging even my belief
on genuine equity and fairness.
I admit having agonized
over series of investigation rigors
court hearing struggles---
--- testifying before witness stand
while facing the culprit
regarded as an accomplice
yet someone so familiar to me.
God be praised for His mercy and truth
enabling my spirit to choose His direction ---
--- to file for case dismissal, not because
hopelessness loomed or futility beckoned
(since imprisonment awaited the offender)
but then I wanted to follow my Lord Jesus Christ
in ascending toward the high road of life:
forgiving* others as I was a pardoned sinner
offering gracious peace granted by the Holy Spirit.
Now, grateful to the Saviour for such decision
I’m reaching-out to others
sharing His compassion ---
--- exposing powerful love at work
amidst divine holy justice
warmed by His wondrous serenity.
*Ephesians 4:32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
