The Greatest Sacrifice

Whether you believe or not, Jesus died for our sins. His death is a fact from history. His intention is a fact from history. How many of us would sacrifice ourselves for all mankind? How many of us would endure the excruciating pain and suffering that He did? Thank Jesus. I am grateful. The greatest sacrifice By Michelle Morris 07/04/2023 The greatest sacrifice Was made by Jesus He died for everyone To save our souls He took away our mortal sins He suffered for our actions He died and was resurrected As God above ordained He is known as Christ He is known as Messiah He is known as the lamb He is known as the Son of God Thank you Jesus for your love Thank you for your sacrifice Thank you God for your mercy Thank you for your support We are grateful for your sacrifice For your suffering and your grace We are cleansed and purified Despite being mortal sinners © Michelle Morris, 2023 "Jesus became sin for us and bore our sins in his body on the cross, thus fulfilling the law. 2 Corinthians 5:21: “God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”" "Christ was not originally a name but a title derived from the Greek word christos, which translates the Hebrew term meshiah (Messiah), meaning “the anointed one.” This title indicates that Jesus' followers believed him to be the anointed son of King David, whom some Jews expected to restore the fortunes of Israel." "In Christianity, the lamb represents Christ as both suffering and triumphant; it is typically a sacrificial animal, and may also symbolize gentleness, innocence, and purity. When depicted with the lion, the pair can mean a state of paradise. In addition, the lamb symbolises sweetness, forgiveness and meekness."
