The Greatest Actor of All

The greatest actor of all is not you nor me He hides in plain sight He wears a mask he thinks sets him free From the monsters that bite The greatest actor sees everything weird He sees things in color yet everything in grays This peculiarity just adds to him being feared Even by himself some days With this mask, he does get tired Its heaviness starts to make the mask drag The mask-free life is what he desired If only it were real so he could brag People are mean not knowing his story They think nothing of him for the mask is on They don’t know how often the monster can be gory By the light from his eyes that is always gone He acts each day to make people glad For he doesn’t want others to do the same He messes up sometimes and acts sad But people think its just a game Acting upon acting makes him greater but so small holding his mask is no small task So he is the greatest actor of all
