The Glutton
I ate and ate real quick with a swift hand
then put salt in my food so none was bland
I piled the pounds and ate all that I saw
with each fast crave I gave in to my flaw
So weak was I that bread I baked each day
a pile of spread so thick I dare not say
how much I ate how much I gave to Paul
I will not tell but I did shove then bawl
Like a wolf that scarfs it down to the bone
I chomped the meat like a King on a throne
so blithe was I and near to pop and burst
that every shirt I own I ripped then cursed
I ate for love of food but then , Oh Dear !
I have no room for a coke nor a beer .
