The Glen
Glen of mystery and tranquillity
nesting between the foothills
a place of peace and serenity
with water flowing through
Trickling and tinkering down
flowing into transparent pool
a waft of long stemmed flowers
bow their heads to the breeze
Fat brown trout leaping
full of Spring joy cavorting
while dragonflies dance
skimming the surface
And so this place Heralds
in Spring and delights
in warm breezy days
while busy birds build nests
Once more the glen lives
evidence and promises
abound in its protection
as Spring comes to stay
