Hi Harry, an excellent piece of poetry. This Senryu is so sad. The song is finaly caught short within the gilded cage, whether it be humanity or birds. The song should ever be heard. I love the content of this write Harry. Have a wonderful weekend....Mike.

A beautiful and thought provoking piece Harry. I could see in my mind's eye a gilded cage empty and forlorn. Where was the bird. Did it die or did it escape. Perhaps just being allowed a bit of freedom. The reader is left to decide for one's self. Great job. God Bless, JB

Wow, Harry.. your nature write says so much about freedom! I wonder how many humans have lost their song because they feel like a caged bird?
