The Future World
THE FUTURE WORLD
Many scenarios may unfold 100 years from now
On this old earth that would be a bit heavier
Because the human population would then grow
By another two billion or so, but does it matter?
It does for food and water would then be scarce
In many densely populated parts of the world
Extreme climate would make the things worse
With frequent strikes of drought and flood.
In a strive to produce the amenities of modern life
Industries would exude tons of greenhouse gases
Global warming would become a phenomenon rife
Coastal settlements would sink in sea without traces.
The days of fossil fuel would almost come to an end
Many natural resources would face severe depletion
Only on the energy of the sun man would depend
Science would find ways to deal with emergent situation.
Space travel may become affordable and relatively easy
Human settlements may come up in Mars and Moon
Exploit their resources, the operation now seems crazy
It’s going to happen, not later than 100 years but soon.
Human brain would evolve, increasing intelligence manifold
Innovative minds would invent many more AI gadgets
Man would be physically weak even before getting old
To the material world lose the beauty of sunrise and sunset.
