The Friends In Your Life
Last night in pensive mood I sat,
pondering on my thoughts,
unthinking.
It came into my mind,
how nice it would be, to talk,
with all the friends that I have known,
both in the pub,
when drinking.
As well as those when on a walk,
you met by chance,
which into friendship then had grown,
and time it’s magic did enhance.
Distance does not matter,
You can always be in touch,
by phone,
There is no need to be alone.
Work colleagues, then came to mind,
good and bad, nice or mean,
all played a part in forming me,
into me.
I would like to thank,
the ones who were kind,
and those that were not,
I really don’t mind,
They all form the fabric,
Of who I am now,
I am quite content,
with that somehow,
no regrets with a life,
full of friends heaven sent,
a loving family around me,
that is how it should be,
and of course my best friend,
the diamond in my life,
the slightly deaf,
but very cute,darling little wife
