The Fear Silence Bestows- Sos
In the stillness of the night I saw myself-
captured in quietude and sinister peace.
Suppressing all that hovers,
truth saved by ivory silk covers-
I long to feel the calm life used to give.
So, I tarry and stroll along shores of woe,
stacking sandbags against the river of
tears I sacrifice just to feel the silence…
that haunts me.
Three million saved from lights of faith,
existence fears not what leads to kismet.
I see through glass that carries grains
just to ease my timepiece quivering-
and
I travel to mounts just to hear the silence…
that haunts me.
My essence used to shine in blue brilliance,
now it’s withered in ash without resilience.
Serenaded in fractions of non-fiction,
chronicles of a hush longing to be
whispered-
whispered in a way only I can comprehend.
For I am but a woman craving,
longing to embrace the silence…
that haunts me.
