The Facade
Until we admit the transgressions
which gave birth to the land that we share
then reverse all the built-in injustice
and for once, truly be just and fair
We will drown in the money and power
with a man-child that’s leading the way
in a country which still is divided
by the sins of its very first day
We still carry the crimes of the murders
once committed so we could be we
Still imprison the Natives in places
justify that it makes them all free
Our greed and our bigotry voted
for a man who’s an arrogant fool
Being molded like clay by world tyrants
he’s a dictator’s favorite tool
We can sing pretty songs about freedom
hands on hearts to create a facade
but the rot that was planted by settlers
is reborn in the hate and the fraud
