Oh, one day he'll look at me with
Eyes that leave me breathless...
Will they be blue or green like
The gleaming ocean depths,
Or a deep brown like the earth
After a refreshing, quenching rain?
Will they hold such enchantment
That mine will become transfixed
In their soft mesmerizing gaze?
Will I see into their sacred soul
When our eyes finally encounter
Each other's light reflecting orbs?
Surely my eyes will glisten with
Moist tears of joyful recognition
As my bashful eyelashes flutter
Like a butterfly's while winging.
I hope to dream of such soulful
Eyes, the kind that deftly hypnotize,
Eyes that dwell in tandem with
A special kindred, romantic heart.
