The End of Temptation
It is not a dream but still surreal
Double Dutch chocolate ice cream is real
I toss and turn, I fight the yearn
How many sit-ups does this dessert earn
Sleepless night, I'm losing the fight
All I need is just one creamy silky bite
Why oh why did I buy that carton of chocolate sin
I know I'm weak and will eventually give in
No reason for alarm, no burglar doing harm
Just my head in the freezer drooling on my arm
As I yank out that carton of Double Dutch chocolate ice cream
Did I let out a yelp and happy scream
One spoon one carton and I begin
Shaking with anticipation I dig in
Frozen heaven delicious sin
Can't stop shoving it in
It is clear what must be
I have to eat it all to stop it tempting me
Gorge and full feeling the fool
I'll pay for this hourly
doing exercises to burn those calories
Yet I am smiling and very fulfilled
Back to bed with that craving killed
I'll dream of an ocean of ice cream flavors
Floating on a doughnut with my spoon to savor
Each and every succulent flavor
