The End of Pain
A tear stained trail runs down her cheek.
For one so young, life seems so bleak.
A lifetime of hurt,
A lifetime of pain.
Her life’s been filled with sadness and shame.
She tells herself she only has herself to blame.
A knife by her side tells her this is the way.
Her means to end she’s found this day.
She closes her eyes and feels the cold steel of the knife.
She’ll never be a mother nor no mans wife.
She’s made the decision to end her own life.
With one quick slice the deed is done.
She now watches as her blood runs.
A faithless choice she can’t undo.
No second chance to start anew.
The pain fades away, as her breathing slows down.
This is where they’ll find her, laying upon the ground.
She’ll never know there was someone to care.
Someone to hold her, someone to share.
