The Emerald Sea of Deep Woe

I found myself plunging into the emerald sea of deep woe Pictures of beloved ones flashed before my tired eyes I cried so much that I could cry no more My tears became green waves lashing hard on the shore of life I did not understand the reason for my affliction I just knew this - the deep woe was too much for me to bear. 09/20/18

Your sadness is deep and expressive, Jo, your poem is also metaphorically beautiful and captivating. Through exquisite pain comes exquisite poetry.. your poem is a poignant gem. Warmest wishes always.. ~Susan

Well penned, Jo. Sometimes a strong urge to cry does come and we know not from where... This reminds me of that exact overwhelming feeling. Congrats on your top win, Jo.

Deeply sad and affecting. I believe many of us have shared these same feelings at times in our lives, hopefully the blue skies will reappear leaving the sorrow to wash out with the tide. Beautiful my friend.
