The Dusty Book of Dreams

High upon the dusty shelf her poetry book sits untouch Through days and nights Through many years As raindrops gathered And snowflakes fell The book sat silent Of love and fear A dream subded For fifty some years She wrote of memories Of hopes and fears She scribbled sweet nothings As if someone could hear And now alone She sits subdued Remembering the man of fortitude And now a time As moments moved fast Where she lie in sweet misery And in an instant she passed High upon the dusty shelf her poetry book sits untouch ~ A Verse Taken From Her Book A Painted Moment From deep within a painted moment Where shadows crawl through corridors I peer beyond a silent thought Where love, my love, sweet love of mine Shall flutter free abound in light From deep within, lost in flight Again alone to wake beside The dusty book of dreams
