The Dream of Her Untouched Sea

"The Dream of Her Untouched Sea"

Caressing Her tidal pools
the floor of Her Oceans rise
Sunlight through the crystal canopy
shines on Her
song of the siren mind
meeting the Majesty
all commanding
they commune with Her
within Her greater depths,
the Emeralds and Sapphires
of Her pristine sanctuary
kind and perilous, She is,
then all at once -
a tempest sanctified;
Love is all there is,
baptised in Her holy waters
kissed by Her grace
under Her god like body
no virus will survive
There lives in dreamlike state
another Kingdom
that breathes in plumes
nebulous then immaculate
Neptune sees freedom
bathed in light and dark depth hues
Christened in Her eyes
there floating before Her, You,
begotten, borne again
skin wet against Her mouth
hushed and warm
Her body opens and pulls you in,
you are lulled
by the velvet comfort
cool and calm
of Her silent reckoning,
the crest of Her waves
the rise and fall of
Her smooth satin,
She is sensuously moist
welcoming and forbidden
enticing you with
Her serene eminence one day,
the next, you’d gladly drown
to swim with mystical untouched souls
swallowed in Her voluptuous hallowed waters
salty skinned and hair all tangled
black and glistening
midnight blue
like seaweed and sea urchins
strung up and strewn
with ripe wide opened
red sea poppies
all wrapped around
your fingers
no ropes to pull you in
you are caught up in Her
all around you
you are hypnotised
She is dangerously close
and closing in
like you’re a sea leopard
caught, you’ve roamed too far
a hungry sea wolf ensnarled
and grinning in Her freedom net
you are swimming deeper into her
seduced, just longing, yet
to somehow be
the deeper not the shallow
in the dream of Her untouched sea

Response to TS Poem titled, "Read" (below poem link), which gave me a certain freedom of inspiration to convert from the 'subtle' darker shades, some Light.

Wow! I wondered how I missed this one and no wonder for I was stuck on an island surrounded by ocean due to Covid lol...this is the best POTD I have read! :)

How wonderful! I hope it was. I think to be away from the horror of covid, immersed in the pristine waters and walking healthy on barefoot sand with the Sun shining on you - stuck on an island surrounded by our beautiful Ocean - would have been absolutely glorious another dimension away, a small heaven. I do hope all your loved ones and friends have been safe throughout it all. The lockdowns gave a lot of people a new perspective on what they are prepared to put up with in their lives, and what they will not; a lot of people have re-set, which may sound all woo-woo, but so true and much needed. I am overjoyed you loved this little poem. xx

When you consider it on an existential level, the Ocean is a living being, like 'God' strange and mysterious. I was reading somewhere last night, that a group of scientists are putting forward the theory that the Universe is a conscious living entity. I will try and find the article for you, which is more current than this one, which is pretty close to what I read last night. However, the former was presenting more factual evidence. We are all connected, creatures, humans, earth, worlds, universe, dimensions.

Thank you Lamour'eux. I was reflecting on silence, through the introspection of self-isolation; sometimes it can become quite noisy in one's own brain and in the world existing above the Ocean. Surely the silence under water, if one were to adapt a life aquatic, then Life -would be so much easier. The Ocean is a beautiful mistress and she and her subjects must always be respected as divine beings. x

Who could not fail but to fall in love with Her, she is commanding and hypnotic, all the elements required for a reckless love affair. If a deity were to have a bride, She is the one, they would choose over all others. You have a brilliant last name, it is synonymous with 'energy' and I equate that with Light. Thank you for reading this poem... simple (yet She is certainly a complex being) and dare I say it, humble musing. x

I love the ocean too Paula, very very much. We must all somehow wade through the awful times at present and remember there is such beauty around us. We must protect everything in our lives that exist in this world, not just our own species. I am so happy you love this poem. xx

Beautiful story you shared about your daughter swimming with the huge sea turtle. I must keep an eye out for the photo. There is a giant Sea Turtle, it is very old, that lives under a boat shed at Manly Harbour, in my beautiful Sydney (close to shore). It is beautiful to see it swimming in the clear water when the tide is going out. Georgia and I have swum with it at low tide, but she will not remember, more than likely, as she was very little, still wearing floaties. I just made use of the word beautiful 3 times, I shall lose full marks for that...although some might see it as a visitation of the 'holy' trinity ;) ... I shall definitely lose full marks for my improper humour, I am sure.

There is a beach I used to take Georgia to when she was little where we used to swim and explore the rockpools at low tide (well there were many beaches in the area where we lived), but this one in particular had a Mermaids' Cave. Totally visible at low tide. You'd have to wade through the water to get into it, sometimes it would be half deep with the children able to swim in it. Pure magic. We used to pretend we were mermaids... yeah me too. lol

Brimming with small treasures that we would discover (which in our minds were no small treasures). Tiny fierce soldier crabs, fluorescent bright cobalt blues, purples, emeralds, sometimes flaming orange starfish hiding under large sea-moss covered rocks usually covered in slimy, glistening claret-red fleshy sea anemones that when touched, delighted in spurting small mouthfuls of water at us. Of course we never saw any mermaids, they were all out deeper swimming with the silver fins. I remember both of us being amazed one afternoon when the large conch like shells started moving in the very shallows, like a small bold parade, the sea slugs that lived inside the shells had come out to feed on the smaller fish and miniscule life living in the seaweed close to shore. We used to delight in collecting Port Jackson shark eggs (empty of course) found in the water in the rockpools, some in the Mermaid Cave, or dry in the sand on the shore.

Thank you Sam Kauffman. I have been ruminating in isolation on the true purpose of our lives and why we are all experiencing the rigours of this "Crown" virus. Perhaps there is something much much greater at play here than the wet markets and bats.

I have been thinking (possibly a dangerous thing, when I consider where thinking has drawn me in the past), we must all have this romance. The communion of ourselves with the Ocean, everything really that is in our world. We must love all and everything and somehow maintain "respect" for each other and everything that exists in our world. This is where LOVE enters the story. Thank you Constance. As always, "Blessed Be". I am very much standing next to the "Blessed Be's". Your pseudonym suits you perfectly. xx

Ah the tides and the Moon. There are other worlds outside our own. Let's start with our own world first. Without Her waters, there would be no rivers, there would be no rain, there would be no life, go amphibian onto land and consider the burning of rainforests and deforrestation, the killing of trees. We are dead, cactus. It is all rather fascinating and complex. A puzzle. I love a good mystery and I love puzzles. It is early morning here and I drizzle on with my banal comments. Your comment is a key to a lock that needs picking and unopening. It has given me more fuel for thought. Breakfast calls. Love Leanne. x

I am in Love with the Ocean. I am in awe of it, and I also fear it. I read somewhere last night, that the virus will not survive in Ocean Water. Let us hope this is true. I would be so sad, if those majestic creatures contracted the virus. On with my day. xx
