The Demon Haunted World

The Demon-Haunted World: Science as a Candle in the Dark—Carl Sagan

Listen to the demons whispering in your ear
You can’t help her, it painfully repeated
You’re mine they tell me, they can taste my fear
Listen to the demons whispering in your ear
My twisted body cracked and defeated
I can feel my head spinning ‘round depleted
Listen to the demons whispering in your ear
You can’t help her, it painfully repeated

Sometimes the internal voice is frightening. This is one of those times "You’re mine they tell me, they can taste my fear "

I know from experience how difficult it is to write a triolet. To get rid of demons you need a holy expert exorcist.

I listen to a night show that frequently has a real exorcist guest who tells his tales, so scary! I enjoyed the triolet form for my scary Halloween theme.

In actuality, exorcism too is enabled by love alone. The entity wishes to merge with God’s light but is afraid, wilting in guilt. Once it understands that there is nothing to fear and there is no judgment* (*save repaying debts of love owed), the entity asks for forgiveness and glides into heaven. Just saying ~ your poem is perfectly crafted

Some feel a fine line between love/hate and Angels/Demons It's a blessing to be dis-illusioned and thus set free. Always love to hear from you, US!
