The Day My Life Changed

The day my life went hollow I had to live in isolation, and that's a tough pill to swallow, when you don't want to be the cause of depopulation. The day my life drew a blank the streets were all empty , there wasn't a car to be found. Soldiers were on every corner, my city looked like a battleground. The day my life went to war, citizens were fighting for their lives. Everyone was sick, the elderly were dying, The young and healthy are the only ones who survived. The day my life went dark, loss of freedom left us all blind. Separation has become the new adaptation for all mankind. The day my life went hollow or empty I guess you could say, I sat in a empty room, filled with worry and gloom, everyone I loved were doing the same, and it's hard to have human connection when your six feet away.

As they say... better six feet apart then six feet under. Worry not. This too shall pass but the loss will try our souls. Of that there is no doubt. A fine poem indeed. Stay healthy my friend.
