The Color Purple
She enters my dream state and gives me a wink
Regal and messy and happy I think!
I have not seen your color since I left heaven I say
None of the purples I meet here can play.
She is amusing and funny and witty for sure!
She is outstanding and hilarious. Her liveliness sure does ensure.
I follow her about, laughing, for I am the only one who can see.
The muse that she is, and how enthusiastic she can be!
She cannot follow me to wake up land, but that is okay.
For I meet her quite often at the end of a blah boring day.
She enlivens me and enlightens me and gives me good cheer.
Come hither, my purple, you are ever so dear!
