I am the jailer of this cell
Pray, searching for the key
Where in solitary, dreams do dwell
Ever longing to be free.
This fettered lock placed on the door
For fear installed by me
To keep away hopes dashed before
Lest for fortune ever be.
Bid I must for pardons flight
Fling open gates of chance
With trusting aim cast into light
Life's embrace in full romance.
