The Carpenter
Jesus was not an engineer,
Or a captain of a ship.
He was not a politician,
Nor a store did he keep.
He was not a professor
In a university of that day.
He was not a soldier,
Nor a lawyer’s role did he play.
He was a lowly carpenter,
Who with patience plied his trade.
No antique available today is worth
As much as the things that he made.
