The Cape

Did you ever have one of those crazy type of dreams.
You know, one that gets you in trouble, in every way.
Well mine seems to be writing about a crazy Dragon.
And Dragons’ is about, his being a hero with a cape.

Well Dragon, being a Dragon, once saw ‘Dancing With The Stars’.
Yep, He decided he had to have, that blinged out Winners Trophy thar.
Are you following me so far? … So he flew in uninvited onto the set.
No one seemed to be there, they were all off practicing, somewhere else.

Well, a cameraman had the cameras on, while setting up, for the night.
As our caped crusader, Dragon, ever so gracefully crashed and slid into…
The spot light. Thinking it a dress rehearsal, the Passe Doble was turned on.
Suddenly, Dragon came alive, as he tossed his cape up high upon the air.

When it came down… it curled all around a turning, swirling, dancing star.
The Trophy, was in the middle of the stage, as he twirled around it, cape & all.
He tossed his cape, like it was a charging bull, as his wings flew him over it.
He pointed his toes, as he next slid past it, then most theatrically, walked away.

Looking over his shoulder as if, daring it to pounce. Dragon was in control!
He flamed his fire as if, he was in response, as the music continued to build.
Then he deftly walked back, as he ran his cape all over and down it, as the music
Faded, he slid away, throwing his arms up beseechingly, as the lights went out.

Roarious clapping filled his mind. The judges who had settled in were spell bound.
One by one they judged him with four wondrous 10’s. As Dragon suddenly turned.
There was Carrie Ann, Julianne, Len, and Bruno giving him a standing applause.
So what else could dear sweet Dragon do? Yep… He fainted dead away…

When he woke up… He knew it had been only a very Sweet, Sweet Dream.
But then why was that Georgeous Blinged out Trophy standing… next to him?
What he didn’t know was, when he fainted; Grandpa Troll had carried him out.
We turned the TV on, and handed out popcorn, as we all surrounded him in bed.

There before him on the show that night… was a special ½ time performance.
Of a Caped Dragon doing the Passe Doble with his blinged out Trophy all alone!
All he could say was: ‘Eat your heart out, Sheriff of Crazyland, A Star is Born!’
When the show was over he got to tour the set and meet the judges once again.

It did seem Two crazy dreams had come together in… The End.

Dedicated to my Hubby: Who is both: my Trophy & my cape as he writes with me.

Oh I do love dragons and I love "Dancing With The Stars", too. I'm sure tha Dragon worked hard on his Paso Doble, but I'm surprised that Len didn't complain about his form or booty sticking out too far. Great piece!
