The Blues

Listening to the Blues on this cerulean night, my mood dark with visions of ecchymotic dreams leaving chalybeous bruises in my crazed mind. I waited for the turquoise twinkle in your smiling azure eyes to soothe the despondent indigo thoughts I'm feeling. Like a vitreous vapor I could feel you, but you did not appear. I guess your cold cyaneous attitude shouldn't surprise me, it's what I deserve, after leaving your beautiful mind filled with empty, brooding, questioning, mazarine emotions. Now I sit here alone watching the aqua liquid of your cocktail throwing slowly fading teal reflections on a crinkled napkin as the argon Curacao sign blinks lonely above the empty bar. Liquid slowly pools in the corner of my cesious eyes. You used to call them your sapphire visions into my soul, now they're just old and faded like our cyanotic love affair. It seems you have finally had enough of my broody blue moods. I don't blame you, they've cost me more than just you in my life, as for now I'll just wait in my livid sorrow and listen to the lonely Blues. 02/28/16

NOT POSSIBLE TO LOVE THE COLOR BLUE MORE THAN I DO, MY DAUGHTER'S NICKNAME IS BLUEBABYGIRL. 7 of the 12 new cars I've owned in my long life were blue. My eyes are blue, my daughter's eyes an even prettier blue! Blue shirts, blue jeans and blue stone rings are my favorite. I WROTE A POEM HERE ABOUT THE COLOR BLUE. Exceptional poem my friend. A7

Too bad, I was hoping to read it. I agree blue to me is the most emotional of colors but not just deep sad emotions. I see the azure sky and it makes me happy. I watch the turquoise waves in the ocean and it fills me with wonder. I've fallen in love with several women because of their smiling deep blue eyes and a few days ago I saw a beautiful blue bird that made me smile. Blue is my favorite color.

Hey, you should have made it Moody Blues and done Nights like white satin. heehee. OK, this is GREAT writing, my friend. The language is very elevated and you are a smart cookie because that is the way S.O. likes a poem to be. I expect to see this one way up on the winners' list (mine, not so much.)

Never knew so many words existed for 'blue' until this contest. Now that I have admitted my ignorance, I will share that I love the emotion in your write and can relate to the feeling, even with the dictionary-required words. All the best to you always and in the contest ... CayCay

CayCay, what happened to my reply. I know I wrote one. I think my ghost, Vladimir, must have erased it. I laughed at your comment because it took a dictionary to write it. Thanks for the kindness.
